With a convenient location, helpful staff, and newly renovated rooms, the Fairmont Dubai, part of Accor, continues to be a reliable star in Dubai’s galaxy of luxury hotels.

Fairmont Dubai (Sheikh Zayed Road) Review with Photos

Highs: Impressive service from all staff for a hotel at this size, especially valet. Comfortable beds. Plenty of on-site dining options.

Lows: Cramped bathrooms. Missing some five-star basics like stocked minibars and clocks.

Verdict: The heavily-renovated Fairmont Dubai is a reliable and convenient accommodation and can be one of the best values in Dubai.

The Room to Get: Two Bedroom Suite.

Opening to guests in 2002, the Fairmont Dubai is one of the earliest major hotels in a city now synonymous with runaway luxury. Designed by architectural firm Khatib & Alami, the Fairmont Dubai represents fusion of regional vernacular design and postmodern style. Climbing 34 stories, an abstract interpretation of four capped barajeel (wind towers) anchor the building while a stone-clad canopy protects stepped columns of floor-to-ceiling as they recede into the form. From an elevated distance, the building mildly resembles an ornate tea table, in the referential, postmodern spirit of 550 Madison Avenue in New York City or The Basket Building in Newark, Ohio.

With no buildings to its immediate north, the Fairmont Dubai acts as a sort of architectural bookend for the stack of towers that lie beyond it, especially noticeable on approach from the southbound lanes of the major thoroughfare. Even as taller buildings have risen around it, the hotel remains a striking contribution to the prevailing impression of Sheikh Zayed Road.

The hotel sits directly across from a Dubai Metro Station “World Trade Centre”. Access is a matter of walking across the bridge over Sheikh Zayed Road. Taxis and on-demand rides arrive almost instantly.

How many Fairmont hotels are in Dubai, UAE?

As of January 2026, there are two Fairmont brand hotels in Dubai. This review is of the Fairmont Dubai, located along Sheikh Zayed Road, near attractions like the Dubai Frame and Museum of the Future. Fairmont The Palm is located on the Palm Jumeirah, near attractions such as Dubai Marina/JBR and Bluewaters Island.

The main entrance to the hotel is on a Sheikh Zayed service road. Along with the hotel itself, the Fairmont Dubai contains some apartments and offices. Valet is complimentary for hotel guests, with a small tip going a long way. The arrival and valet staff are friendly and very quick for servicing such an immense hotel. The porter Teddy went as a far as showing me some details around the room after bringing my luggage upstairs. A true brand ambassador at work.

Fairmont Dubai Two Bedroom Suite

The Fairmont Dubai has 371 guest rooms and 23 suites, ranging from 450 square feet (standard room) to 5,800 square feet (the Imperial Suite). Somewhere in the middle is the Fairmont Two Bedroom Suite at approximately 1,300 square feet.

So often, hotels will offer a “two bedroom suite” but it is merely two standard guest rooms connected by a shared door. Not here. Fortunately, the Fairmont Dubai offers a true two bedroom in an apartment style. Angled floor-to-ceiling windows frame views of the main road and surrounding towers.

In an interpretation of the Gulf’s hosting-oriented house layouts, the room is divided into public and private wings with a central hallway that laterally connects the two, allowing for easy discretion and privacy. The main living area is outfit with comfortable seating rendered in a even-handed color palette composed of deep blues, soft tans, matte beige, and pops of orange.

The suite features a small foyer a large living area but no wet bar or coat closet. Textures come through soft glossy flooring, lightly stained white oak molding, and an intentional lighting scheme. The interior design is by the Dubai and Riyadh-based SAY Studio.

The dining area features bold yet elegant orange seating and a large table suitable for meetings or full meals, but there is no wet bar or prep area, negating some of its functionality.

Art is quite modern if not somewhat sparse, with heavy reliance on wall art mostly featuring images of Dubai old and new.

The minibar, hidden within the cabinetry near the dining area is quite limited in offering— the refrigerator is empty. The cupboard features a kettle, and a mix of espresso cups, tea cups, and water glasses. Coffee is by Nespresso. Water is offered in Fairmont-branded glass bottles. Glassware is by Arc.

Fairmont Dubai Two Bedroom Suite Bedrooms

The bedrooms, one featuring an en-suite bathroom, are sumptuous and spacious cocoons with thoughtful use of rugs and color, softening the impact of the glossy flooring.

Both bedrooms feature desks, lamps, and smart televisions along with occasional seating and tasteful mix of backlit elements. The bed's headboard is a beautifully crafted piece with built-in reading lamps and a cushioned backing. Black-out curtains are recessed and integrated into the wall structure, confirming total black-out potential.

Built-in closets with a set of drawers are found in both bedrooms and fully outfit with robes, slippers, shoe kits, laundry bags, ironing board and steamer, yoga mats, several types of hangers, and a safe. The size and thoroughness of the closet proves the Fairmont Dubai is acceptable for extended stays— you’d be amazed how few hotels feature drawers anymore.

Lighting is controlled by a simple panel that completely blacks out when not in use— something many other hotels could learn from. The capacitive touch screen jumps to life in a colorful manner with a single tap. The lighting is quite customizable, down to individual lamps in each room.

Do Not Disturb can be enabled from here, but master power controls only the particular room you’re in, not the entire suite. The same panel features a universal plug and USB-A ports.

The desk, found in each room, is even more of a hub for technology, featuring all sorts of connections including two universal outlets with individual on/off, a USB-C port, a USB-A port, an HDMI port, and and ethernet port.

Fairmont Dubai Two Bedroom Suite Bathrooms

This suite features two bathrooms both rendered in an elegant grayscale color scheme of white, gray, and black marble. Sleek in principle, chrome accents and recessed lighting bounce off glossy walls and glass, elevating the space to feel quite spa-like. The en-suite bathroom features a single vanity, a bathtub, separate shower, and toilet with a handheld bidet element.

Both bathrooms feature Kohler fixtures. In the interest of ecological preservation, Fairmont uses large-format Rose 31 amenities by Le Labo and sustainable combs, dental kits and shaving kits by Dubai-based company Natura.

The bathrooms at the Fairmont Dubai aren’t the largest in the city, but they’re certainly functional, featuring small details like a telephone by the toilet and a scale. Storage is limited to under the sink.

Mirroring the layout and square footage of the primary bathroom, the convenience of having a second bathroom cannot be understated. Situated near the entryway, it is ideal for guest use but is fully featured.

Fairmont Dubai Facilities, Gym, and Amenities

Beyond also containing residences and offices, the Fairmont Dubai is an enormous complex of restaurants, bars, and entertainment venues spread across its vertical campus. The Italian-oriented Bistrot Novanta features excellent Happy Hour deals suspended between a zero-edge pool and the skyline of Dubai.

In addition to the two pools, the Fairmont Dubai features meeting rooms on the 33rd floor, gathering areas on the ground floor, a parking garage with valet and unlimited in/out privileges, plus access to Wellbeings Holistic Healing Spa, a restorative space designed for guests who want to slow the pace and recalibrate.

Open daily until 10:00 PM, the spa focuses on treatments that emphasize balance, recovery, and long-term wellbeing. Seven treatment rooms include dedicated couples’ suites and a Thai room, supported by a private relaxation area for couples, a salt cave, and a full suite of wet facilities with sauna, steam room, and jacuzzi. A gym and reflexology foot bath round out the experience.

In addition, the Fairmont Dubai features a newly renovated gym and fitness center with essential machines and equipment. A dedicated business center in the lobby was rarely busy and features high-speed broadband internet access (complimentary and available all over the hotel), computer rentals, and printing facilities.

A full buffet breakfast of international standard is served every morning from 06:30 AM until 11:30 AM at Cascades. The breakfast is included in many booking rates, but is also available for about $39.00 per person.

Fairmont Dubai Service and Staff

The Fairmont Dubai is a vast machine of hospitality and a popular spot for business meetings, so there is a continuous mix of hotel guests and visitors cycling through the door. Accordingly, this is not a hotel where you wander the halls and get lost in public areas.

Given its high-volume nature, the hotel is clearly oriented toward efficiency, but that does not make it any less luxurious.

Are pets allowed at the Fairmont Dubai?

Regulations in the United Arab Emirates mandate that pets are not permitted, with the exception of Service Dogs.

Overall service has a lighter touch, but it is not compromised. Don’t expect hand-and-foot style support, but the staff is responsive and quick to accomplish requests from in-room dining to laundry to daily routines like turn-down service. When in doubt, the concierge team is on hand twenty-four hours per day to handle all sorts of requests.

Especially impressive is the valet team, who managed to deliver the car in record time, every time. We’d leave a small tip for the cleaning team and the valet team any time we’d use their services.

Fairmont Dubai Stay Conclusion

The Fairmont Dubai might not be the most indulgent or outright lavish hotel in the city, but this iconic property remains an excellent choice for families who need extra space or for travelers who need immediate access to Dubai’s business centers. Newly renovated, The Interior Review can especially recommend the two-bedroom suite with its sprawling layout. Add in the vast range of on-site amenities and Fairmont Dubai remains one of the best values in Dubai.
