We Put Lab Series’ Best-Selling Skincare to the Test
Lab Series gave us some of their most essential products, and we immediately asked certified product lover and longtime skin-care enthusiast Emily Powers to give each product a try and take some notes. Here’s the verdict on one of skincare’s most exciting brands.
Lab Series and Jordan Clarkson Celebrate in NYC

There was no question: Knicks star Jordan Clarkson and skincare masters Lab Series hosted the hottest cocktail hour in New York this week. It was refreshing to go to a skincare event that opted for Negronis and vinyl records rather than tempeh bites and sound baths (we like both, but our team is partial to a sexy happy hour— the crowd was cute!). The event was hosted at arguably Greenpoint's coolest establishment, Eavesdrop, a cozy vinyl listening bar with great cocktails and one of our favorite sound systems in New York.

After the event, we scored a selection of Lab Series’ most essential products—we love the goodie bag just as much as the soirée (we are a review publication, after all!), so let's get into the products and see which ones are the MVPs.
Lab Series Product Reviews
The Verdict: This cream has an opalescent sheen and a delightful wintergreen scent. The refreshing sensation when applied leaves skin feeling fresh, like the skin equivalent of having a mint. Major bonus: it doesn’t irritate sensitive skin, either. For future uses, this would work particularly well as an aftershave “mask” rather than something to rub in and wait to absorb. — from $33.00 at Lab Series.
The Verdict: When a moisturizer doubles as a sunscreen and doesn’t leave skin feeling greasy, then we consider it an instant-win. It rubs in quickly and seamlessly, and the added protection against pollution was much needed during the Canadian wildfire smoke in NYC. Also, major bonus points for not leaving a white cast. This one is coming to the beach with us. — from $65.00 at Lab Series.
The Verdict: From the jump, the packaging instantly catches the eye. A twist-and-pop bottle always feels sleek and modern, plus there’s peace of mind knowing it can easily lock and won’t spill while traveling. Even though the product isn’t necessarily intended to have a cooling effect like the shaving cream, it leaves skin feeling fresh, like it’s waking up in real time! — from $96.00 at Lab Series.
The Verdict: This eye treatment feels luxurious. The texture is reminiscent of a K-beauty snail mucin, but without any of the stickiness, which is the beauty of a gel-cream hybrid! It has a rich consistency but still sinks into the skin easily. Seeing caffeine on the ingredient list makes perfect sense because the eye area really does look more awake after using it. This one will absolutely be making a return appearance. — from $72.00 at Lab Series.
Our Top Picks from Lab Series
The standouts of the bunch are definitely the sunscreen and the eye cream. Both blend and sink in seamlessly, don’t irritate sensitive skin, and, most importantly, are products that actually make a difference. They’ve officially earned a spot in the everyday routine.
